James and Lacy
Busy, Busy weekend! Friday afternoon I 'bit the bullet' and ordered the Canon 5d Mark II (which I really want here yesterday). Saturday on a cold blustery day I had a wedding with the fabulous Marie Q www.marieq.com. The wedding went without a hitch the bride was beautiful and everyone had fun. On Sunday I met Jame and Lacy at the Ellis County Courthouse for their engagement photos for their August wedding... We had fun and more pictures to come...

Renaissance Megan
I have been sooooo sick this weekend. I have some possible shoots coming up but have been wanting to practice my skills in photoshop too so I went back to Megan's folder to see what I havent worked before and I found this shot. This photo is more processed than I usually do, but I like the feel for it. Megan pointed out that I also enhanced her makeup. Not sure if she liked the photo or not...

Megan Revisited
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a shoot that I did in June (one of my first photoshoots). She is my niece and 20 years old. I was going through some of my images that I had passed over the first time and came up with this one. Practicing and refining PP it is amazing to me how (over time) our skills improve (noticeably) with each photo we do... Does anyone else feel the same way. C&C welcome.

Intimate affair
I had the privilege of photographing an intimate home wedding yesterday. A few friends and family were present in this Arlington wedding as Daniel and Amy McIntosh were joined together in marriage. They had a beautiful wedding and a beautiful day for the marriage. I will be posting more images in the days to come...

Ethan Linker
Deer Hunting has started again... Last week my brother and I went up to Fannin County Caddo National Grasslands and didn't see anything. I am finishing up on Ethan's picture and have a short wedding event this Sunday (after hunting).
This shot of Ethan is a complete creation from me, playing with different backgrounds and creating my own edge masks this is what I have come up with...

Ethan-OCS
Ethan is a a senior at Ovilla Christian School, he is also my nephew. We left early in the morning on Saturday morning and went downtown Waxahachie and dodged the Annual Bob Phillips Texas Country Reporter Festival. Over 25,000 people visit this event every year and even at dawn the square was busy with people and booths. Ethan was surprised that Waxahachie had so many areas to take pictures as we walked around the down town area.
I also had the privilege of working with the amazing Marie Q this past Saturday as well. We had a session at a quaint bed and breakfast in Grapevine. The event went wonderfully, the bride elegant, wispy and beautiful.

Feast or Famine
Wow, what a weekend! Three shoots this weekend (if you count the football game)! Sunday was quite a day! We got up eary (as usual) for church, got to church a little early and proceeded to walk in when Madison got her hand caught in the church's steel door. Her ring finger on the right hand got caught at the first knuckle (the one closest to the tip of the finger) and appeared deformed after the accident. My wife and I 'dumped' the two boys off on my 20 yr old neice and took Madi to the ER (Charlton Methodist). Luckily there wasnt a break (only soft tissue damage) and we got back for church to catch the end of service (we had quick service at the ER).
Sunday afternoon after pizza with the family and my sister in laws family at Roma's Pizza I headed back home for a shoot with the Westbury Family. They have two lovely children (12 year old Kaitlyn and 2 year old Madeline). It appears that Kaitlyn is ready to take on the world and perhaps modeling (very pretty young lady) and Madeline is ready to take on the world and everything else (aren't all two year olds like this)?

Kymberlin Whitehead
Today has been a great day! I got up before dawn and went to Prayer Mountain (in Texas) for my first Senior (2009) session. I had the pleasure of working with Kymberlin Whitehead. A beautiful young lady that lives in the nearby Arlington area. I wanted to post a couple pictures for them to see and enjoy.
Later in the day, Matthew (my oldest boy) played football against the Waxahachie Sioux in which he had 3 sacks, multiple tackles, an extra point score and overall played well...

Free time
I didn't have a shoot this weekend and I finished my wedding photos from September. This shot was from this past weekend. I've isolated Madison by selecting the background and polarizing it. Finally I've converted the image with a chocolate black and white color.

Wedding
I finished processing the wedding pictures this past weekend and gave a preliminary cd to the couple. I am working on getting a pretty cd with custom labeling (lightscribe) for the bride and groom with a nice case for the cd. I am now working on custom template pictures for the bride, groom and family. Overall I am pleased with my first solo endeavor in wedding photography. I largely have to give credit to Marie at www.marieq.com for her mentorship that she has provided. I really believe that she is the preiminent photographer in the area!

Williams Wedding
I have been working as an assistant to Marie Q (she is awesome) in her weddings as she has been so gracious to allow me to work and learn with her. I wish I could post some of the photos from this past weekends shoot as the venue was soooo very cool! It was a backyard but was so detailed and groomed it would rival any outdoor venue in the area! Many cool photos are to be had from that shoot! Anyway, I am dillegently working on editing my wedding from a couple of weeks ago and posted another photo for the couple so they can see the progress... Hope you like what you see!

Lisa and Dan Williams
Danny and Lisa Williams wedding September 20th 2008 was set in the country of Waxahachie Texas at a quaint venue called Chapel Creek Manor. It has a barn, beautiful landscaping and a wonderful long fence. The bride was beautiful and the event turned out great. Congratulations Lisa and Dan Williams!
